The Fender Hot Rod Deluxe is very aptly named. This 40-watt, 1×12 combo amplifier gets its juice from three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6L6 Groove Tube power tubes, and has been fitted with an 8-ohm, specially designed Fender Eminence speaker. If this isn’t enough for you, an external speaker jack has been added. The Hot Rod Deluxe is solid state rectified.
Three channels are available for your choosing on this versatile amp: Normal, Drive, and More Drive. The Normal Channel has a Bright switch, and the two Drive channels have a Drive control. A standard three-band EQ of Treble, Bass, and Middle, and a Master Volume, Reverb, and Presence control really let you tweak your sound.
An effects loop is wired in to the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, as well as an internal variable bias control. The amp comes with a three-function, two-button footswitch. The Deluxe has been clothed with a black textured-vinyl cover and silver grille cloth, and has a chrome panel with vintage knobs.
For classic Fender sound in a powerful, and very loud little combo amp, the Hot Rod Deluxe is perfect, and at budget friendly price.
