Bugera’s 333XL is a monster of an amplifier. It has three channels, Clean, Crunch, and Lead. It gives of 120-Watts of power, thanks to the four 12AX7 pre-amp tubes and four EL34 power tubes. If you prefer the cleaner American sound, a bias switch allows you to use 6L6’s in place of the EL34’s. An Impedance switch is standard on the 333XL, too, so you can plug this bad boy in to any 4, 8, or 16 Ohm speaker cabinet.
Each of the three channels have controls for Volume, Treble, Mid, and Bass. The Lead and Crunch channels also have a control for Gain, and an XL switch that boosts your output at lower volumes. A noise gate knob assists this feature. While each channel has its own Volume, there is also a global Master Volume, so you can play at all volumes without compromising your tone. Master Presence and Reverb controls are also incorporated.
An effects loop is wired in for your use, but unlike others, this one has separate Send and Return level controls, which can be used as an extra Boost function if you feel you need it. A footswitch comes standard and allows you to change between the three channels, as well as turn the effects loop on or off.
