The Vox AC30 has been a leader in the amplifier market for decades, thanks to its unique tone and circuit design. Vox decided to take the best parts from the different models of the AC30 and make one amazing amp, resulting in the AC30 Custom Classic. It comes with four EL84 Power Tubes, three 12AX7 Preamp Tubes, and one GZ34 Rectifier Tube. It has two input jacks on the front panel, one for the Top Boost Channel and one for the Normal Channel. An Input Link Switch has been added which allows the channels to be blended, giving you an amazing flexibility with your tone.
The Normal Channel has a knob for Volume and a Brilliance Switch. The Top Boost Channel has controls for Volume, Treble, and Bass. The Reverb section of controls includes Tone and Mix knobs, and a Dwell Switch. A Tremolo section of controls is available on this amp, with dials for Speed and Depth. Lastly, there are controls for Tone Cut and Master Volume.
The AC30 Custom Classis is available in four head/combo models. If you don’t need a combo, the 30 Watt head is for you. As far as combos are concerned, there is a 1×12 that comes with one Celestion neodymium NeoDog speaker. You can also choose from two 2×12 combos. One comes with two twelve inch VOX custom GSH12-30 speakers, and the other with two twelve inch Celestion AlNiCo “Blue” speakers.
